From the beginning, we wanted to build more than just beautiful spaces. Each property under Seven Boards is designed and managed with care — blending warm character, thoughtful design, and the kind of comfort that makes people feel at home.

When we first discovered the property in Jakarta, it was a quiet house with a timeless structure and stories within its walls. We saw more than just an old home—we saw a piece of Indonesia’s architectural heritage waiting to be revived. With thoughtful renovation and care, Lamandau House became our founding project, a blend of history and new beginnings.

After the restoration, Lamandau House became a luxury stay defined by warmth and quality design. Thoughtfully composed interiors, natural textures, and subtle details create an atmosphere that feels refined yet inviting. It’s a place where heritage and modern comfort come together effortlessly, offering a quiet sense of elegance and ease.

Before
The first time we walked through the gates, the place was quiet — a hostel that had been closed since 2018. The walls were worn, the garden overgrown, but there was something about it that drew us in. We could see the potential beneath the dust, the kind of charm that only needed a little care to shine again. With time and heart, it became what we now call our first home — Seven Boards Canggu.

In just 6 months, we transformed the property with reclaimed antiques, 8 new bathrooms, and custom-designed furniture to maximize space. Each of our 8 rooms is complete with all the essentials—and a story of its own—crafted with love and care.

When we found the property, it had a Hemingway charm — sturdy, soulful, and full of quiet character — mixed with touches of Balinese architecture and design. Its condition was far from perfect, but there was something undeniably special about it. We could see its story waiting to be told, and we knew it was the perfect beginning for our second chapter.
